NO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS

When:

The NH Division of Motor Vehicles announced their plans to update their driver licensing system over the Columbus Day weekend in October. The implementation of this new software will potentially affect Grantham residents as follows:

  • Town Clerks will be unable to process the STATE portion of vehicle registrations from Friday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 10.
  • Online services, including Online Driver License Renewal and Online Ticket Pay, will not be available from Wednesday, October 4 through Wednesday, October 11.
  • Ticket pay by phone will not be available on Monday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 10.

Residents are STRONGLY encouraged to complete motor vehicle registrations in advance of their expiration dates if the expiration occurs during this transition period. This is particularly important for purchasers of new vehicles whose 20-day plates expire during this outage. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD.

Also, in the days following implementation of the new system, residents with business at the NH DMV in Concord and the substations around the state may experience longer than usual wait times and are asked to plan their visit accordingly.

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector's Office will be open for ALL OTHER BUSINESS.
