Building Permit Application

To properly fill out a Town of Grantham Building Permit, please answer all questions, even if it does not apply to your project. (Document below)

GIS On-line Property Maps: 

• Use the link above to access the on-line GIS Property Maps for the Town of Grantham.  Please not these maps are for reference only and are only updated once per year.
• Search by last name, address or map and lot number to get an aerial view of your property with lot lines.
• You can use the measurement tool to ensure you meet the required zoning setback requirements. The measurement tool is located on the right-hand side menu of the map.
• For Exterior projects, please include an aerial view with measured setbacks ensuring zoning requirements are met as stated in the Grantham Zoning Ordinance (document below).
• On the left-hand side, you can overlay wetland and shoreline information by using the Layer feature. If your project is near a wetland or shoreline, you will likely need approval from the State of New Hampshire, NH Department of Environmental Services, before a building permit can be accepted.
