Effective Friday, Feb. 21 until further notice, Transfer Station CLOSED FRIDAYS
Dear Grantham Residents:
The Board of Selectmen has received the retirement request of Christopher "Chris" Scott as Supervisor of the Transfer Station. Chris has served the residents of Grantham for 17 years, the last 14 years as Supervisor. We sincerely wish Chris the best in his retirement.
To fill Chris's position, the Board is pleased to announce the promotion of Dana Ramspott to Supervisor. Dana has worked for the transfer station for three years and has over 40 years of municipal experience, including 30 years as the Deputy Fire Chief for the Town of Sunapee. Following his recent surgery, Dana is currently on a temporary medical leave.
The Board of Selectmen has also received the resignation of transfer station attendant Chris Lennon. Chris has served our residents for four years and has decided to accept a new position closer to his home in Laconia. We, too, wish Chris the best in his new career, where he will use his outstanding technological skills.
The Board has sought the help of the Highway Department during this transitional period. Jeff Hastings, our Road Agent, has agreed to provide additional staff as needed and whenever possible in order to keep the transfer station facility open as much as possible.
However, beginning Friday, February 21, and continuing until new staff is trained, etc., THE TRANSFER STATION WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAYS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
All other hours of operation will remain the same. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely,
Grantham Board of Selectmen
